The Dream Master

Brion Gysin was an artist of the 20th Century and was very active in all aspects of art during his stent starting in the 60s. He was an artist on the radio, in the movies, painting, writting, and even performance arts.

Best known for his invention of the Dream Machine. This thing was crazzyyyy. Essentially it was this light that was cut with squares or shapes in it to create a moving light. The piece is viewed by closing your eyes and then letting the piece take control. It starts to create an almost drug like trance to your brain, by stimulating the optic nerve.

The "hallucinations"get really intense and they turn into swirling colors and shapes. However, this is simply corrected by opening ones eyes.

Although Gysin was such an avid artist in the creative realms outside of paint, his heart belonged to the canvas as he loved to paint and draw. His works we modeled after the scripts from the Arabic and Japanese languages.
