Walter Carlos...have you ever seen a wendy bird??

Wendy..Walter..Carlos is one of the greatest electronic musicians and american composers of her time. Her most notable works are A Clockwork Orange, The Shinning, and Tron; where she created such dynamic moods with the electronic synthesizer, putting her lightyears ahead of the music industry. Although people had been experimenting with new ways to make sounds, no one had ever tried to fully compose an entire piece with just the synthetic electrical tones. She is FANTASTIC! She changed the world in so many ways. Not only was she so forward with her music and producing such great artwork with her photography of eclipses. But she was one of the first pro transgender people, and was an actually patient of the process of switching genders.

I really don't know much about her, but I listened to her work and it is eery in a way that is perfect for the movies that she wrote the scores to. They not only create the moods that you are feeling but the music enhances any drama or action by perfectly fitting in with the moment of the movie. Carlos is phenomenal with her musical timing in these pieces, and it is no wonder why these movies were such great pieces because not only were the movies shocking...but the music was mind blowing.
